The Christian Sentinel E-update - May 1, 2003

The Eternal Word Network (EWTN) has a new web page for children...  But, the Christian Sentinel certainly cannot recommend it for children since it contains spiritual poison and outright lies.  EWTN-Kids is a tool for indoctrinating young people into Roman mythology about the "Virgin Mary," the Saints, and a Sacramental Salvation.  Jesus only gets a small honorable mention from crucifixes and as a baby in his mother's arms.  Jackie Alnor takes you on a guided tour of EWTN-KIDS on the Catholic Answers page in www.cultlink.com.

The Christian Sentinel is proud to be offering the modified version of 703-page paperback edition of The Kingdom of the Cults as part of our resource list.  See our articles on this topic in the March and April E-updates.  (See also the Rische's statement on the book by clicking here.)
The late Walter Martin actually performed the wedding ceremony for Bill and Jackie Alnor more than 15 years ago in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.  Click here to go to our order form.

Cost: $14.99 plus $1.75 postage.  To order this book by invoice click here to tell Bill you want it, and we'll get a copy right out to you.  To go to our order form, click here

_________

For the fifth month in a row, the price has been dramatically slashed to $5 on Christian Sentinel President Bill Alnor's book, UFO Cults and the New Millennium

In this 1998 book, which normally retails for $14.99, Bill exposed the dangerous theologies of Malachi York and the Raelian movement (the UFO cult that recently claims to have cloned two human babies) and other UFO cults.  A little more than a month ago York fell into more scandal by admitting to having sex with children in his cult, the Ancient Mystical Order of Melchizedek.

Universalism: A Sure Sign of Apostasy Today
Could the Christian Church really be in the Great Apostasy forecast in the New Testament, a time of the falling away of the visible Christian Church into false teaching? Quite possibly, The Christian Sentinel argues.  So many prominent leaders, such as UMC Bishop Melvin Talbert, Roman Catholic leader Fr. Michael Manning, and Charismatic leader Carlton Pearson, have abandoned the narrow way of the Cross for salvation to embrace a doctrine from hell called universalism.  In effect, many Christian leaders today are agreeing with such mystics as Deepak Chopra, and it appears that a new false religion of tolerance is sweeping throughout the globe that is affecting every religious system.  Could this be the start of the great harlot of Revelation 17?  Evangelical Pastor John MacArthur on the Larry King Live show presented historic Christianity recently on the April 20, 2003 telecast and was met with contempt by the other guests, some of whom were professing Christians, who actually taught universalism.  See Jackie Alnor's article on the Universalism trend.

The Christian Sentinel Calls for a Boycott of the Trinity Broadcasting Network

Paul & Jan Crouch

The Christian Sentinel is calling upon all sound ministries and church leaders to boycott TBN and any of their affiliate stations and networks to send a clear message to them that the Prosperity Gospel is a false gospel of mammon. Christians should go even a step further and boycott all Christian ministries who compromise with TBN.  True Christians need to take a stand against false teachings and refuse to even be a guest on one of their programs unless the purpose is to bring much needed correction.  And,   Whenever anyone in the past has done that, that has been the last time they have been on TBN, but they have earned the respect of those who appreciate the Bible's admonition to contend earnestly for the faith.
This May 1, 2003 Christian Sentinel E-update documents how Paul Crouch has been able to silence the voices of opposition to the heresies propagated on TBN and his threats of censorship to any others who might try to bring the voice of reason.  TBN-blackballed guest, the late Walter Martin, tried once unsuccessfully to organize a boycott, and today the false prosperity gospel is going around the world making false converts who are being immunized against the true Gospel of salvation.

One Christian teacher lamented how Christians are viewed by the world and said, "True Christianity is a threat to the Hollywood movie industry -- They make Christians as a bunch of loony-toons and they’re always portrayed in the movies as someone who is little off-center and a little crazy."

But where is the unbelieving world getting that stereotype of Christianity?  TBN makes all Christians look bad and sets Jesus up for ridicule.  And as long as sound ministries air their programs on TBN, they deserve getting painted with the same broad brush and shouldn't be surprised when Hollywood tells it like they see it.  But if all of true Christianity would stop compromising with the truth, then TBN will lose its credibility and the true Gospel will stand out clearly while the lying modernized gospel of greed will be seen for the forgery it is.

 ICONOCLASM  FANTASYLAND
Also new to the Christian Sentinel's Catholic Answers page is a new look at the old art of iconoclasm.  Where is the outrage today over the evil practice of idol-making?  Idols today are carried in procession, bowed before, and Catholics light candles in front of them.  These statues are even thought to contain some spiritual value in and of themselves.  Demetrius and his fellow craftsmen are alive and well in the 21st Century (See Acts 19).

This video documents the rise of religious deception within the church from the beginning of the 1900s to the present day.  Length: 90 minutes.  It is filled with actual film footage of preachers caught in deception. Jesus warned us of the great falling away.  Yet, many are convincing Christians this very deception is an outpouring of revival.  See for yourselves how the spirit of Antichrist is within our churches.
